We consider him a true friend and an invaluable source of information and assistance. We opened an art gallery and gift shop near San Ramon and Gerardo was there every step of the way Whether it was finding unique artists and inventory or finding contacts for furniture makers, etc, Gerardo's knowledge and skills proved to be a great asset to us !!!! We found him to be very reliable. We have used his taxi services many times. With that service he was helpful in translation and knowing where to go to find special items in Costa Rica. We have contacted Gerardo via computer to confirm pickup times at different places, Airport, Hotel and down town Bus Station in San Jose. He even went to the Bus Station to pick us up at a time in the evening when taxi drivers do not go because it is too dangerous. We appreciated him going the extra mile for us. We would recommend Gerardo's services to our family, friends and anyone who needs an honest, reliable and friendly person to help them here in Costa Rica. We can count on anything from him...and he always delivers what we need and more! His contacts, his knowledge of the Costa Rican system and his English skills make him absolutely essential for anyone trying to navigate the Costa Rican bureaucracy. My wife and I needed to move to a good neighborhood in San Jose quickly. This man single handedly took care of every thing. He found us a very nice house for rent. The 4 bedrooms 3 baths 2 car garage for only $700 a month our neighbors are paying $1,200 for the same thing. Then with amassing speed he found qualified people to fix the plumbing and some electrical things in the house. He got us a nice gardener and a maid. He found us a fantastic deal on an old car for my wife in one day complete with all the paper work and insurance. He found and delivered some parts for my electric dryer and another car I have that I had been looking for for several months on my own. He took me to get my drivers license and made it seem so easy with no test. When I was away on business he helped my wife get medical insurance and took her to get tests and to the doctor's appointments and translate when needed. This alone was priceless to my wife and I. There seems that no task is too small or too big for this man to concur. I know now that he has saved me thousands in time and money over the past 3 months. I truly do not know were my wife and I would be with out him. That taxi driver was of course Gerardo Villegas. To say that Gerardo was helpful is not enough. He genuinly wants to help. He is knowledgeable, punctual, reliable, displays good work ethics.
